National Stearman Fly-In - Monday - Sunday various times
Annual event that hosts the largest gathering of Stearman bi-planes in the world and include fun flying, exhibits, seminars and fly-outs to various locations. The event also includes numerous contests including: flour bombing, precision aerobatics, formation flying and short field take-off and spot landings. Visitors can take a tram ride through the lines of parked bi-planes and talk to the pilots, view the planes and have a fun filled day. The event concludes with an annual banquet on Saturday evening.

The Great Cardboard Boat Regatta -
Annual regatta, held at Lake Storey Recreational Area, features competition among a wide variety of cardboard boats created to be attractive and unique as well as "seaworthy." Fun and entertainment for the entire family!!
The Galesburg Public Schools Foundation's Annual Duck Race has become an "end of summer rite" as hundreds of adults & children gather at Lake Storey each September to watch the cardboard boat regatta and then cheer on their winning duck. The Duck Race usually starts around 3:00 PM. Rain or shine - we are racing!! Parking is free, souvenirs & food will be available. For more information on the duck race call 309-342-9229
